Uploading documents to a project is the first step in any Lymnus workflow. Lymnus supports a wide range of file formats and handles OCR automatically for scanned documents.
Supported file formats
PDF (.pdf) — including scanned PDFs with OCR
Microsoft Word (.docx, .doc)
Microsoft Excel (.xlsx, .xls)
Plain text (.txt)
Images (.png, .jpg, .jpeg) — Lymnus extracts text from images automatically
CSV (.csv)
File size limits
Maximum file size: 50 MB per file
Maximum files per upload batch: 50 files
Total storage per account depends on your plan (1 GB on Free, 25 GB on Starter, 100 GB on Pro)
How to upload
Open a project.
Click the Upload button or drag files directly onto the document area.
Select one or more files from your computer.
Wait for the upload and processing to complete. A progress indicator will show the status.
Large or complex documents (e.g. 200-page PDFs) may take slightly longer to process. You will receive a notification when processing is complete.
Tips for better results
Use text-based PDFs rather than scanned images where possible — they process faster and more accurately
Ensure scanned documents are at least 300 DPI for good OCR quality
Remove unnecessary pages (blank pages, headers with no content) before uploading to save tokens
Use consistent naming conventions for your files to keep projects organised
Uploading from connected apps
If you have connected Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox, you can also import documents directly from those services without downloading them to your computer first. See Connecting Apps for setup instructions.
