Creating a Report

How to generate an AI report from your documents.

Reports let you generate AI-written analyses, summaries, and structured documents from your source material. Unlike extractions (which produce structured data in rows and columns), reports produce rich formatted documents — ideal for executive summaries, due diligence notes, or research briefs.

Creating a new report

  1. From the sidebar, click Reports.

  2. Click New Report in the top-right corner.

  3. Give your report a name.

  4. Select the source — you can choose documents from one or more projects.

  5. Choose a report type or enter a custom prompt to describe the output you want.

  6. Click Generate.

Generation typically takes 30–120 seconds depending on the volume of source material and the complexity of the report.

Editing a generated report

Once generated, reports open in the built-in document editor. You can freely edit, reformat, or add to the AI-generated content. All edits are saved automatically.

Regenerating a section

If a section is not quite right, you can highlight it and click Regenerate to ask Lymnus to rewrite just that section. This uses fewer tokens than regenerating the entire report.

Saving and versioning

Lymnus automatically saves your report as you edit. A version history is kept so you can revert to any previous version from the report's settings panel.
